Laohuwo is located in Xiangshan County, Ningbo, a 3.5-hour drive from Shanghai. Situated near the coastline, with an altitude of more than 220 meters, it offers a scenic blend of mountainous and seaside vistas. This route promises an engaging experience that combines climbing and hiking. On the first day's journey, you'll use both hands and feet to climb up and down the rocks on the mountain ridge. The route is about 4 kilometers, with a total climb of 200 meters. Certain rock faces are steep and smooth. To navigate these boulders, you'll use ropes for both ascending and descending. Once you reach the summit, you'll be rewarded with a view of the boulders scattered below, interspersed with distant reservoirs. On the following day, you'll head to Little Lingyan Mountain for a rappelling adventure. Standing at 255.3 meters above sea level, Little Lingyan Mountain is characterized by its rounded rock crater, which was shaped by volcanic magma overflow. The geological makeup of this area is unique, featuring perilous summits and projecting stones, while the nearby terrain rises dramatically and imposingly. Climbing all the way to the highest peak and then abseiling down offers a formidable and exhilarating challenge. For the safety of all, Mountain Cat Club will provide equipment certified by UIAA and CE. During the event, they will offer guidance on properly wearing the gear and provide rappelling technique training. At each rappelling station, there will be a coach, a safety monitor, and a protector present. All participants will receive a gift provided by Petzl.
