Wenling is located in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, and has the only coastal cross-country trace track in Mainland China, with 60% of its greenway encircling the sea. It boasts beautiful mountain ridges and magnificent coastal scenery, extending flat, soft, and clean sandy beaches, with pleasant fisherman’s stone houses scattered across the hillside.
Frequently likened to the MacLehose Trail of Hong Kong, this trail offers a glimpse into a similar breathtaking panorama, with its azure ocean waters and pristine sandy beaches. As you journey across the mountain ridge, you'll be treated to sweeping vistas of the vast ocean.
On Day One, you're set to embark on an 8.9-kilometer trek with a diverse array of pathways ranging from smooth stone steps to wild, challenging trails, and mountain ridges.
On Day Two, you'll do another 8.37km hike in the morning and make your way to Colorful Xiaoruo Village. Located in the southwest of Shitang Town, Xiaoruo Village has been selected as one of "China's Most Beautiful Fishing Villages" and is also known as the "Oriental Cinque Terre", exuding dreamy, macaron-like colors. There are colorful staircases, candy-colored houses, art spaces, and more.
Wenling Coastline hike is a combination of exercise and relaxation by the seaside, ideal for urbanites to take a short weekend trip. Here, one can quietly watch the sea and listen to the waves, enjoying the beautiful scenery where the blue sky, white clouds, the sea, and ancient villages complement each other.
