About

Zhangjiajie National Park is often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of China" and is particularly famous for its resemblance to the mountains depicted in the movie "Avatar." These sandstone spires, which number over 3,000 and resemble bamboo shoots, create a captivating landscape that leaves visitors mesmerized.

Experience a unique adventure with Mountain Cat Club that goes beyond the typical sightseeing tours. Instead of taking a shuttle bus in between tourist attractions, they will take you deep into the enchanting Qingfeng Gorge and Jinbian Brook. This will provide you with the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of the Avatar world, where you can marvel at magnificent waterfalls and peaceful brooks.

Qingfeng Gorge is a breathtaking gorge with a stunning waterfall at its source. Nestled deep within the canyon, majestic rock formations reach towards the heavens, their towering presence casting awe-inspiring shadows.

On the second day of the expedition, you'll be exploring Binglang Valley, a stunning mountain valley, brimming with caves, natural bridges, and sheer cliffs. The entire journey spans 11 kilometers, passing through canyons, caves, and sinkholes, offering the thrill of caving and rock climbing.

You will begin by entering Binglang Valley cave, which is not deep and has a flat terrain. As you exit the cave, a panoramic view unfolds before you. You can see Star Valley, with lush green grass in the valley, as if you've stepped into a paradise. Then you put on headlamps and traverse from the open canyon to the dark cave known as the Gate of Hell. Inside the cave is an underground river. You will follow the course of the river to the exit of the cave.

Upon crossing the Gate of Hell and climbing the cave slope covered with moss and ferns, you will reach the astonishing Angel Castle. A natural bridge hanging in the sky comes into view, with towering walls of stone stretching on for miles. After passing through Angel Castle, you will reach a narrow canyon. From there, you will make your way through the entire canyon with the help of ropes.
