Kaolao Mountain is located in Cixi, Ningbo, a 2.5-hour drive from Shanghai. With an elevation of 424 meters, the mountain is covered in lush greenery and features roaring waterfalls and peaceful brooks. Along the way, you can enjoy the sight of peculiar peaks, bamboo groves, streams, and waterfalls.

Trace a small path that leads to the summit of East Kaolao Mountain after a 75-meter ascent, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Shanglin Lake. Afterward, retrace your steps from the mountaintop back to the trail.

Navigate through the forest. After passing through a bamboo grove, you will come across a gentle stream. Take a moment to sit by the stream, and let the earth inspire your artistic expression.
