Woah, is it December first already? When did that happen? Now, before you start packing your week with mulled wine and movies, here's a few things happening in the city to tempt you and the kids off of the couch.

Family and Pet Portraits


Dec 1 to 30, 9.30am-6.30pm @ Rimagine


Rimagine are holding family portraits and squeezing in your pet! This limited-time-only package costs 2,200rmb per family and includes five portraits of the entire family or only the pet, plus an oil painting (30x30cm) of the pet. The paintings will be done by Mariana, an artist who uses her mouth and feet for her work.

2020 International Education Recruitment Fair

More than 30 international schools will be participating at this International Education Job Fair. To attend, scan the QR code and register your information to collect a free ticket. It's running all morning and afternoon.

Yoga – Power Restart


Dec 5, 11am-2pm @ Ringside Boxing & Beyond


Ringside Boxing & Beyond are teaming up with Z-Rou to provide a yoga x meat-less brunch. On the Saturday morning, participants can take part in detox yoga, followed by a DIY power bowl brunch with Z-Rou meat. Regular price is 188rmb, but there is a discounted 158rmb for Ringside Boxing members.

Spare Leash Shelter Supply Drive


Dec 5, 1-5pm @ Jing'an Kerry Center


Spare Leash are holding a 5th annual supply drive to help gather funds and support for the animal shelters of Shanghai, in partnership with other pet shelters and burger giant Shake Shack. The event runs all afternoon, and everything from pet food to harnesses are needed. If you want to take generosity a step further, there are always pets from rescue organizations needing a loving home — and just in time for the holidays!

Awesome Christmas Crafts


Dec 5, 1.30-3pm @ Awesome Kids Club


This Saturday, Awesome Kids Club are getting into the festive season with a bit of crafting. Kids who join get to learn how to make their very own miniature Christmas trees; great for compact homes and apartments. Workshop costs 298rmb per child.
