The School of Humanities at Shanghai Jiao Tong University consists of three Departments and two Centers. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs in Chinese Language and Literature, History, Philosophy and Arts. Currently, the School has 141 full-time faculty members and more than 1,500 students. 40 percent of the social science subjects at the university is taught by the School.
