Hey there, creative Freelancer. SmartShanghai has 10 desks available in our downtown office. We have a proposition for you! FREE RENT; all-inclusive. If you are a paragon of talent, and are interested in rubbing elbows with one of Shanghai’s most notorious, fabled media companies, then keep on reading.
THE BIG CATCH: We want you to help us. We’re asking for 8 hours of your time to help SmartShanghai every month.
WHO WE SEEK: A few different types of heroes:
Wordsmiths: We are seeking people who can wield words like swords, that can write powerful editorial content for the site and our directories.
Social Moguls: We are super open to exploring new multi-media platforms (apparently video content is a thing now). Professionals working in the areas of social media and event management are welcomed too.
Media Masters: For those of you who have sharpened skills in videography, or any other media form, we’re up for it.
SWEETEN THE DEAL: You’ll get a free dedicated desk in the office (located downtown, just around the corner from
iAPM Mall). Free coffee (and tea!), free internet, free use of the copy machine, even free use of both the meeting room and mini-lounge. You’ll possess a key and can come and go at any time you want. Additionally, we’ll offer you a free listing on Creativehunt, if you want to promote your services. Imagine how you can impress your own clients with “a downtown meeting at SmartShanghai’s offices with coffee (or tea)!”
In return, you will contribute 8 hours of your time per month, on either small projects or a full day of work. We’d also like to use you as a resource of knowledge on things happening in the city. This will be done in the form of bi-weekly afternoon meetings (with beers, shots, juice, whatever you like!) in the lounge for creative exchanges on how SmartShanghai is progressing and how the platform can be more useful.
If you are interested, contact us via the
Webform introducing yourself and how you will be able to contribute the 8 hours. If you are an editor, please pitch a few ideas or show us content that you’ve produced for other magazines.
Minimum commitment should be no less than 2 months, and it’s essential that you have a legal work visa.
