We're back for November, doing our best to help a few animals out, with the help of Allen Lee, the photographer behind PawPaw Studio. A big thanks to Lee and his team for donating their time to help out a few animals in need.
To be ready for adoption, all foster animals receive vet care basics, including parasite control, vaccinations, and spay-neuter, as well as treatment for any injuries or illness at SCAA's vet partner Shanghai PAW.
For adoption procedures, please visit this SCAA page and get in touch with them about foster animals looking for a forever family.
Kevin
The moment this curious and friendly guy found his foster family, three excited kids proclaimed him to be 'Kevin' and instantly bonded with this happy little cat. Kevin didn't miss a beat going from a dark lane way to a comfortable living room filled with people.
Family-friendly and playful are understatements with Kevin. He loves companionship and has energy to spare. Kevin spent the entire photo shoot purring.
Kevin is vaccinated and will be neutered before adoption. Meet (and hear) him for yourself at SCAA's next Adoption Day on Sunday 15 November.
Leo & Piper
Siblings Leo, the dark brown tabby, and Piper, the pretty tri-color, are an ideal pair. Piper is the more confident one, leading her brother in exploring new places and meeting new people. Piper's curious nature got the kittens rescued after she crawled far into a pipe and got stuck. A dramatic schoolyard rescue with the help of kind security guards ensued.
When the kittens aren't running around playing, they're often found curled up together. Photos of the kittens hugging each other sweetly show why SCAA prefers to adopt the siblings as a pair. But if two well-matched homes are found, the kittens could be adopted separately. Piper is more adaptable and would enjoy being the center of attention as a single cat. Leo is a needy guy and shows a clear preference for fellow cat companionship. Leo will not be adopted on his own.
Meet the siblings at 15 November Adoption Day for SCAA foster animals. If the kittens are adopted soon, SCAA will share half the PAW surgery cost with adopters when Piper and Leo are ready for neutering.
Casper
Casper is a most playful and social little cat. He was found with a bad cut on his leg by a tourist during Golden Week. He's one of the sweetest kittens who urgently needs a foster home while awaiting adoption. Casper's paw has healed nicely and he's started vaccinations.
He's an ideal cat companion with his curious and social nature. If you're not ready to offer this great guy a forever home, please follow up about volunteer fostering. When SCAA visits the PAW clinic, Casper is always reaching out through his cage for attention. Anybody who welcomes him at home would enjoy some serious cuddle time.
Milo
SCAA's newest old dog, Milo isn't ready for adoption yet, but he's looking for an attentive foster home soon. Milo is estimated to be at least 10 years old. He was posted online hanging around a busy office tower and shopping area for days. Now safe and comfortable with SCAA, Milo is set for some serious PAW vet care, including neutering and dental surgery for rotten teeth.
Sweet senior Milo loves to get comfortable and stay that way, yet he definitely has a spring in his step on his walks. Milo does well with toilet training and is slowly adapting to eating dog food. But his caregivers should be prepared to keep cooking boneless chicken breast for him! Milo has at least a decade of offering gentle canine companionship behind him, so deserves to be spoiled just a little.
